#I love how people were like #Shame on Joss #Did he have to have Black Widow in that tight dress #And have Pepper in those short shorts #There was no need to objectify the woman like that #Their characters are so much more than how much skin they can show #And I’m just like yeah #Cause this fucking shot was soooooooo relevant to the plot

    BLESS THESE TAGS.

The thing I like about Joss is that he doesn’t objectify women, in that he writes them as actual women - you know, real humans with real personalities. Some are tough, but they also like to be girls (Buffy). Some are deadly, but they can also be tender (Zoe). Some are frail, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be strong (Willow). But at the same time, he recognizes that, fuck it, women are beautiful and they have beautiful bodies and as long as everything is also practical, why can’t there be eyecandy?

And he does the same thing with men.

    Joss Whedon is excellence personified
